Come Together for Mid-Year Meeting

Minneapolis, MN (April 29, 2010)—Approximately 200 Cruise Holidays franchise owners gathered for a power-packed weekend of networking, workshops and a thorough review of numerous new and existing programs and services that Cruise Holidays offers its franchise owners. Held April 23-25 in Minneapolis, the Cruise Holidays "Mid-Year Meeting” was designed to be high impact and convenient for franchise owners.


The centerpiece of the discussion was the continued focus that all aspects of the Cruise Holidays system be completely integrated. Franchise owners saw how their client data and the Cruise Holidays suite of technology solutions are inter-linked with all marketing efforts. This improves transactional efficiencies for the franchise owner and provides the opportunity to market the right products to the right people at the right time.


Travel Leaders Leisure Group – Cruise Holidays’ parent company – also showed a strong presence at the meeting. In workshops, franchise owners learned directly from top Travel Leaders Leisure Group executives about their specific areas of expertise and will use the knowledge to improve their own businesses. In addition to Cruise Holidays, Travel Leaders Leisure Group includes All Aboard Travel,, Cruise Specialists, Luxury Travel Network, Partners In Travel, and Travel Leaders company-owned leisure agencies.


Franchise owners were pleased at the tangible results of cooperation between Cruise Holidays and Travel Leaders Leisure Group, led by Cruise Holidays Vice President Mark Schiffner and Travel Leaders Leisure Group President Tom Baumann, respectively. "With Mark and Tom leading the charge, and knowing where they are working to take us with technology, it can only get even better,” said Ira Kaplan, owner of Cruise Holidays of Marlboro, which has been part of Cruise Holidays since 1988.


"I had several ‘a-ha’ moments over the weekend when it came to learning about enhancements to CruiseWeb and how it can help me be even more targeted in my marketing efforts,” said Pam Jarvis, a home-based owner in Windermere, FL, who has been with Cruise Holidays since 2007. CruiseWeb is Cruise Holidays’ proprietary Web-based business operating system.


"The momentum we feel as an organization is extremely strong,” said Schiffner. "Our goal is to become the most respected organization of its kind in our industry, and I think our franchise owners and our supplier partners who were present over the weekend would feel that we have taken another step toward that goal,” said Schiffner.


The next gathering of all Cruise Holidays franchise owners will be the 2010 Cruise Holidays Annual Convention. It will take place at El Dorado Royale by Karisma, in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It will take place November 1-6, 2010.
